About Dianne

Dianne Barske, a resident of Alaska for over 40 years, has found inspiration for both her writing and art there every day. According to her, it truly is The Great Land, and has been the source of ideas for her paintings, four children's books and an adult biography. She did both the writing and illustrations for each children's book, all based on Alaska animals and all award winners, both in-state and nationally. Her artwork has been chosen three times by the American Diabetes Association in its national Holiday Art Search competition. Married to Elliott Barske for 50 years, she is the mother of three and grandmother of three. She and Elliott moved to McMinnville, OR in 2017 to be near family.
